Well, by my unofficial count, Donna Stebbins is out advertising Mayor Gray. I have seen over 20 of her signs vs 4 for Gray. Also some transit bus advertising, which is a very visible presence in our community. The word on the street is encouraging also. People do seem to want a change.
Our city leaders seem to want a change somewhere to, if you notice some of the intellegent decisions they have been making. People who don't even want streetlights will pay premium prices for them for at least 15 years, and us citizens could not possibly comprehend the complexity of the decision making involved in this.
Our city gov't seems to want to insert it's finger in alot of pies lately. I noticed in todays Tribune in the article about the coal plant, that the city is pledging $2 million for preparations for the plant. "The money would be payed back if the plant is built." If it's not built the city is out 2 million? That's a lot of money for a maybe.
